Machu Picchu VR Experience: The Tech & The Dev Part Of It

Creating VR Experiences in Unreal Engine.

VR Experiences are very art intense products, as well as the Metaverse production. With the evolution of VR headsets, companies are given more opportunities to make VR experiences hyper-realistic.

In the next webinar from our Metaverse/VR series, we will meet with a member of the team that has created the award-winning VR experience “Machu Picchu and the Spirit of the condor”. It is on display in The Boca Raton Museum of Arts, Florida, US, and Palais de Chaillot, Paris, France, and has won the “Best Use of VR” category at the 12th annual Lumiere Awards.

Stanyo Raykov will tell you about the dev part of the VR experience and the work in collaboration with the script-writers. He will also cover the art side of the project (volumetrics, shadows etc.)

Key take-aways:

  • What are the limitations of working in VR as a lighting artist?
  • How do they gather and follow references?
  • What are the difficulties in the development of the VR experience?

About the speaker:

Stanyo Raykov has been a Dev for ZenART for about a year and a half now. He previously worked in Technical Support, but took interest in game development.

ZenART is the leader in photorealistic 3D worlds that support AAA games, VR & AR experiences and simulations alike. The Bulgarian company has been honoured with several international awards, including: “Forbes Startup to Watch” (Forbes Business Awards, 2020), “Innovative Enterprise Of The Year” - Creative Industries (Excellence in Innovation Forum, 2019), “Epic Mega Grants” - Excellence In Visual Fidelity (2020), “Best Entrepreneur In The Creative Industries” (Creative Business Cup, 2019), VR Awards - VR Experience category (finalist, 2020)
