Community Code of Conduct

Introduction to our Community’s Code of Conduct

Welcome to the CodeControl Slack Community!

As a CodeControl talent, you’re welcome to join the discussion on Slack. You’re welcome to stop by each channel to see what we are up to, and join what interests you! From #project_proposals, to #feedback_needed, or a channel focusing on a specific technology, there are plenty of opportunities to connect and become an active member of the CodeControl Community.

Please check this brief yet important Code of Conduct. You can mute and leave channels that you don’t want to see, by going to the settings of that channel and selecting mute or leave, or by using the Slack notification filter.

Code Control’s Community Values

Our community is the backbone of our organisation (both online and offline). It’s the foundation that enables us to execute the most ambitious projects - either on a remote or onsite basis. Our values include trust, respect, and a willingness to learn. Together we embrace, provide, and live the Future of Work by utilising digital tools for a more effective and fulfilling work environment. Expected behaviors from our community members are listed below.

Be welcoming.

We strive to be a community that welcomes and supports people of all backgrounds and identities.

Be considerate and respectful.

Not all of us will agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for poor behavior and poor manners.

Be friendly and patient.

We are a community of professionals, and we conduct ourselves professionally.

Remember that we’re different.

The strength of CC comes from its varied community, people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Be supportive.

We are a community that is open and engaging. Supporting one another is necessary for everyone becoming better freelancers and individuals.
